So called Belgian Endive, or Chicory, or Chicon in diffferent countries. Leaves are tasty. Roots can be dried and roasted as a coffee substitute.  
PLANTING 
Plant in well drained soil and do not overwater. Perform best in full sun.  
FLAVOUR 
It has a slightly bitter and nutty flavour, crunchy leaves. 
CULINARY USE 
Eat raw as a salad vegetable.Bake stuffed witloof is also a beautiful option.  |
